So...my wife is finally getting serious about starting her business now that she's finally finished her MBA. She needs some start up money and I can free.up a decent bit of cash by slimming down even more. I am trying to decide which of my pistols to keep and it is proving difficult as they all fill a role.

HK45
This is the arguable redundancy. It's a phenomenal pistol and the Ergos are amazing. By far the most comfortable full size pistol in .45

HK45 Compact
This pistol is just as good as the full size HK 45 but in a slightly smaller package. The size difference is small but noticeable when carrying. The capacity is reduced to 8 rounds for "flush"mags but can take full size 10 round hk45 mags if need be. Mag commonality is nice

USP 45 Tactical
This pistol is simply amazing. The match trigger is world's away from the HK45 series. The ergos are not as good but it makes up for it by holding 2 more rounds in the mag and having a threaded barrel. It along has raised night sights. It's a tad heaven than the HK45 but not much.

Between the three I have no issues carrying any of them. It's just hard to pick which one gets the ax.

Which 2 would you keep and why?

Keep the USP 45 Tact. It's by far the more superior of the 3.

Also keep the HK45C just because of the fact that it's the compact of the 3

Keep the USP.

The compact aint that compact. It's no easier to carry than the USP.
The USP holds more 2 more rounds than the HK45.

Congrats to the Mrs on getting her MBA. Handing in my final final exam was the one of the best feelings of my life. I have forgotten every bit of it now...

Ok Mr I carry my 1911 now

That only lasted one day.

Just yesterday I was fishing in my Kayak and because I am a bit on the heavier side my boat holds about a half inch of water (the scupper holes being under my butt doesn't help.) I spent three hours with my Glock partially submerged and then another 2 hours with it riding around in a wet leather holster and a wet pair of shorts. When I took it off last night I pulled it from the holster so the holster would dry and that was the end of it. Today it is back on my hip, no worse for wear. That is why I carry a Glock.

I was just messing with you before though. I would keep the one you carry, and smoke the other two.

Keep the Tactical for sure. It's the only gun I've ever regretted selling. Also, congrats to the Mrs.

@NWS did you catch any fish or just soak your ass?

I think that regardless I will be keeping the USP 45 Tactical. You are all right and if I had to choose ONE pistol that would be the easy choice

I guess the choice is really between between the HK 45 and the HK45C. The compact really isn't that compact and does carry two rounds less than even the standard HK45....but it is just a hair easier to carry....a hair.

Thanks to you and @Laufen.
I'm probably happier she's done than she is. Bot of us being in school with a baby and my full time job has been difficult. Hopefully she can put that MBA to use and get this business going. I'm doing what I can to help.

Fishing may have been a stretch of the truth. I had a line in the water, but I was more playing with the Kayak more than anything else.

For some reason the top water lure I drug around 50 feet behind my Kayak while I figured out it's behavior didn't lure any fish.

Keep the compact even if it ain't real compact just because to have the two full size would be a little redundant.

Keep what you like most and dump thee rest. Or go into huge debt like most Americans and get a loan for startup..

Just kidding about the second part. Don't do that if you don't have to.

That's exactly why I am looking to sell something. I have been selling quite a bit already to generate a lot of the cash we need. What she's doing we don't need terribly much but still no chump change.

It's down to the HK45 and HK45C
