Looks like a Baldfaced Hornet. There's one of these somewhere close by...

You see the stinger on that beast. Luckily I only seen the one on the back porch. Hopefully it was just a rouge.

The hornets on that nest seem different b/c they look to have some sort of ring around the back side. The one I gassed looks different I could be wrong tho.

Agreed. Better find there nest they will attack for no reason and hurt like hell. Put a buddy of mine on his knees when he got stung on a camping trip.

This. Killed a couple in my yard last summer. Scary looking suckers. They are huge.
