I have the ruger American and I like it. The CZ is cool as well but pricier. I have a scope on mine so I like that the stock on the ruger has interchangeable comb heights. The ruger came with sights and the savage I looked at did not. People seem to like the mags for the ruger more and they are widely available. The savage looks more tacticool and has a lot of aftermarket products to help it fit most needs. You're welcome to try mine out sometime if you wan to test it before you buy.
