We cannot let that happen. "Racist" is the term being applied to anything the liberals don't like because it gets a reaction and casts a negative appearance on whatever it's applied to. Everyone needs to get politically active no matter who your candidate is. And now is the time to contribute to the groups that are leading this fight for us. I give to the NRA-ILA monthly. Not much, but something.

I hope this forum does get active again. While I don't do a lot of posting, I do read a lot. Kudos RandallC for getting it back up and running.
AS for the subject at hand...she is a very present danger to all Americans. As for the "rasist" that calls the Declaration of Independence racist doesn't deserve to live her. This country was founded on the D of I and the Constitution. It someone doesn't like that they should move on to a socialist country that conforms to their beliefs and leave America American, all the way.

I hope she is not elected, but you never know with such a stupid electorate. It is certainly possible. I've been telling customers and anyone that might listen, that if they want a certain gun or guns, they should start seeking them now.

IMO if Killary is elected, I think we will see a run on guns and ammo, the likes you have never seen. Much worse than Obummer. It will certainly help me sell holsters, but I hope she never steps foot in the White House. YMMV

I think generally it is hard choices for everyone. We certainly don't want an anti-gun and anti-Second Amendment President but we also need someone who is honest, supports a free and free market economy and doesn't act like a spoiled brat. Just on those grounds I don't see anyone I want to vote for at this point.

The cited article distorts what was said and proceeds to manufacture a position that was not taken by that rather soft-spoken state rep. Having said that, I disagree with her actual position: that mandating the reading of the declaration by students is unfair to those whose genetic ancestors were most certainly not free at the founding. I see no problem with it so long as the educational process includes the facts of the times, which includes that the slaves were not free, and were in fact held to slavery through a degrading combination of economic interests and racism. The state rep's objection is quite mild and understandable, even if her belief that the mandate would be unfair to some American students is wrong. After all, there is a rather obvious hypocricy in declaring all men are created equal, and proceeding to ensure through the constitution that they are not:

Declaration:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Constitution:
Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.
