Apparently he already has. That's all media hype, fear mongering BS that he's bought into.
I am sure if you poll any ex-northeasterners you will find that they are all gun nuts when they get their freedom.
My sister leans a bit left but she's not anti-gun as far as I know.
I have no idea how my ohio extended family is on guns...
My family in Venezuela doesn't give it a second thought...they are a necessity. One of my earliest gun memories was getting in my uncle Raphael 's lifted Jeep Wagoneer in Valencia to go to the market...I looked over at him from the backseat as he was getting in to drive and saw him drop a stainless 6" 44 mag into his shirt...no holster or anything...and kinda wedge it in his belt line. He saw me looking and just smiled. I was probably 5

Have 5 sisters, they always keep asking when we going shooting again. Wife has no issue with mine. She actually likes to go and shoot,but is not a die hard have to go kinda gal. Brought up hunting to feed family,so guns are like a 3rd nut hanging around at all times saying look at me..
I do have one aunt that doesn't like guns, but she isn't super vocal about it. She stays off of my page and I stay off of hers. We get along for the most part.
My step MIL doesn't like guns either, but she got shot when one of her sons went nuts. She has a massive scar on her back from being shot with a shotgun. Even with all that, she understands the purpose of guns and we get along well too. I'm pretty sure she knows I carry because I post progun, procarry stuff on facebook a lot.

I don't have these kinds of issues with my family. My brother is a huge jerk, but that's a separate issue.
Otherwise, the studious avoidance (exclusion really) of Facebook keeps me out of trouble with anyone else I know.

My brother in law is a socialist and a very light in the loafers, we think the marriage is a cover, anyways. I know he hates it when I carry at family dinners at my wifes house so instead of CCing I now OC my FNX tactical for all to admire.
I have a very close clan-like extended family. Pretty much all Scotch-Irish whose ancestors were living in Georgia before the Revolutionary war. Anti gun sentiment gets about the same treatment pedophilia would in my family.

The libs I know talk all the talking points but when their house was broken into the went and got a gun quick, when I asked them if they wanted to go shoot it at the range he says what is there to know you just point and pull the trigger, I am afraid if they ever need that gun someone will use it on them instead of the other way around.
Except for Vermont. They don't have any stupid gun laws. No permit needed to carry in Vermont.
