Funny you should ask! The Marlin 336 project gun I'm working on needed the reciever and barrel to be reblued. I've tried all 3 and found the Oxpha Blue to be be best, but only for touch up or small areas. I really wanted to do it all myself but there was no way I could do it justice by a cold bluing DIY job. A professional hot bluing job was the only way to go.

Cold bluing can be effective, but correct preparation is ultra-critical and difficult to do right. I've done almost-acceptable jobs on a couple of old .22 rifle barrels, but hot bluing (done well) produces much better results than I was able to do with over-the-counter products.
