Okay so the grips indicate he may have been issued this after WWI. Around 1924

Probably $400-$500.

I'd most certainly spend a few bucks and get a factory letter from Colt.

Great find. For the age it looks to be well taken care of. I would've thought $400 myself. Give it time = value ^^^^
