Glock NiBX Coating

Are the nibx coated Glocks good to go? Perusing the internet yield several stories about the nibx gums seeming,to have problems.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Carried one for about 6 months. The coating started flaking off. Granted I was using an all kydex holster and took 2 pistol classes with it, but still. I wouldn't pay extra for one again.
