After putting off for years to get into the suppressor game. I filed a form 1 on September 2nd, tax stamp rolled in on the 25th. Pretty nice turn around not gonna lie. So anyway, figured I’d build one, after @Axeman talked me into it.

Titanium tube, stainless baffles. I do have the the stamp, but I haven’t started drilling. Sent the tube to get my info engraved.

What kind of tools did you need for this? How do you file?
E-file on the atf system. I did mine as individual. Did my own fingerprints, got the ink and sheets from amazon. Pretty simple.

I’ll just be using a drill press, since most the parts are ready center punched and ready to go.

That’s awesome ... quick turnaround time. Are you using spacers between baffles ?

@Tedkennedy you can efile Form 1 online for these. There’s some videos out there to take you through the process. There’s a ton of info and links here
I‘m leaning towards yes on the spacers. I felt like I read every forum on the internet about building it. Haha but still second guess.

The tube came from solvent trap direct, the baffles from Badger ridge industries. Thinking I jacked up on the end cap of the tube, it’s titanium. Gonna be a bitch to drill through.

So - I was looking at this, thinking about Form 1. No idea where to start. What size tube for a .22 pistol? Do these work well? Able to disassemble and clean?

Able to disassemble and clean as you wish. They also make monocore solvent traps. For whatever reason I'm an idiot and just jumped balls deep into .30 cal instead of starting with a .22.

This a good read, as well as has some good websites to buy the parts from.

Titanium drills easy if you do it right. Run the rpms pretty slow, but feed the drill with a good amount of force. You have to get under the work hardening layer. Get a quality cobalt (material not lowes brand) drill bit and go at it.
