Ive been mulling over this question for a few days now and I feel very confident in my answer. From everything I have read, as long as the baffles are clipped you should have pretty good sound suppression. Be it step, scoop or Double clipping. Basically the scoop on both sides. I think some of the guys offset their baffles as well if it’s clipped like above. For POI I’m not the guy to ask. I’m just stoked if it doesn’t blow up and I can hit something with it.Ok y’all got me looking again .. quick question on 556 or 6.5G maybe even 308 .. what do you think about cutting baffles step cut like a stair or scoop cut ..... ? Anyone have a opinion on poi shift or sound suppression being better one way or the other. ??

Just curious, could you do 2 sets of baffles/end caps, different size holes, with the same tube - 1 suppressor?Gonna be pimp! I’m about to file another form 1, for a .22
No, it’s my understanding you can’t even have extras. Even If you have extra baffles laying around, that are drilled and ready, in the eyes of the ‘bet bois it’s intent to build. Without that sweet, sweet tax money...I mean permission, you will get into some trouble.Just curious, could you do 2 sets of baffles/end caps, different size holes, with the same tube - 1 suppressor?
Such a cool concept!This manufacturing company came up with a cool concept but I’m not sure how it would go with a form 1 you build.

I was stoked when I first saw it...then i started reading, exactly that on aluminum and was like....mmm pass.I’m trying to stay clear of aluminum baffles just because of cleaning them. Spoiled with a tumbler and stainless media. I use crushed walnut media for aluminum baffles but it takes 2xs as long and still has leftovers. They will never be like new and most sound better with some buildup on them.

That's exactly where I'm at...I would prefer strength and extended life over just a little weight savings.Don’t get me wrong it’s lighter and that’s huge on a pistol but I’ll take stainless, stellite, or titanium for strength and extended life
I would get emails about status changes that’s about the extent that I followed. It was Pending research then they sent me an email saying submitted. That’s the one that had the cover letter and form attached. So got all that shipped in and then kinda forgot about it.@Cameron Shepherd - did you follow progress of your Form1 after you submitted it? What did that entail?
@Tedkennedy any news on yours?
That happens...Should go smoothly after getting the corrected cards to them!ATF rejected my Form 1 application. Apparently they didn't like the fingerprint cards I used. Submitted new Form 1, will get correct cards....
E-file on the atf system. I did mine as individual. Did my own fingerprints, got the ink and sheets from amazon. Pretty simple.
I’ll just be using a drill press, since most the parts are ready center punched and ready to go.
