I do remember when I ate dinner at my mom's house every night bc I couldn't afford groceries. $400 rent, $400 child support, $350 truck payment, $150 car insurance on $9.50/hour was quite the bitch.
Shit homie, I think I set the record for "Most consistent Ramen dinners mixed with a can of corn & a case of IceHouse" while I was at OSU trying to make ends meet.

ETA: I thought I was big-ballin when I got my first raise to $7.25 in 1996

While i do complement the Badia seasonings, you've absolutely got to go to the Dekalb Farmers Market. Cheaper and much, much higher quality spices.

I'm about to trash most of mine and go restock. They don't have a strong smell anymore and the taste follows that trend.
I go to that one and one other market from time to time but I generally stay out of the ATL if I can help it. The last time I went there, maybe 6 months ago they were out of a lot of stuff.

I bought this bread and honestly I should have bought a BUNCH of it bc it was incredible.

And here we are today on top of the world with Vettes and Mustangs. Never forget the struggle. I remember literally writing all my bill due dates and my paychecks on the calendar for the whole year so I could budget.

Indeed my good sir, indeed.

Lmao, I still remember going to the ATM fresh out of college & writing checks for "cash" knowing that it would take 2 days to catch up to my acct just to make it by. Fun times

It can go quick too.
When I lost my job in 2011, I ended up having to sell my truck, all my motorcycles, all my racing stuff, and a bunch of guns. That sucked real bad and it was about a year before I got a solid paycheck again.

That is true. And worse to deal with tbh. I lost everything (house, car, and indirectly my job) in my first divorce and I thought I'd never get back on top. Marrying wife #2 damn near sealed my fate lol.

I couldn't do the marriage thing twice. Once is enough and I'm good.
