I just wanting to get a subwoofer installed in the Jeep. The OEM one sucks

Sub is easy if you have a factory output/plug.

Otherwise we would pull a lead off one of the speakers and use an inductor to cut out the high frequencies. Maybe it was a capacitor... should check my old book.

This was the mid 90s technology.

For what is worth, that lock ring looks exactly like a YHM quad rail i had once. Heck, might still have, but the 15" version.

There's an OEM 6.5" in the center console but it sucks big time and crackles when under high volume. I'm gonna buy a 8" powered underseat one and hopefully it's plug and play.

I'd assume so... might have to cut a connector off a wire and slice back in.

So long as the existing speaker isn't powered off the head unit... if it's a powered line, you might fry the new speaker.

Looks like steel promags are $20....mediocre reviews though. Fucking factory 20rd mags are like $50

I found 5 , 20 round mags. They are GI Surplus and in good shape. I'll sell them for $100.00 bucks. If you want them, PM me, if not, @dial1911 gets 1st dibs, if he wants them.
