My experience was that people were total dicks, which changes as soon as you start speaking French.

Only been to Canada once - Windsor, for a day. Don't remember much about the trip because it was like 1988 or something.
I do remember a big honkin' Avro Lancaster bomber on a pedestal in a park. Pretty cool.

I think the best thing about learning Arabic is that I can say something entirely innocuous in a slightly louder than average voice and people think I'm threatening to kill them and their entire family.
