I am officially gallbladderless. It was worse than they thought and infection spread down to my pancreas too. I have a drain tube in me that I have to keep in for a week. Was hoping to be back at work on Monday but doesn't look like that's gonna happen now. Out of the last 21 days I've worked 5 days. Between my son being born, the holidays, the weather and now this I've been getting fucked dry with no lube. Feel like I can't catch a break.

I was in for a heart attack. Cardiologist was ready to release me after a few days, but I had high whitecell count and pain (BTW, after a heart attack, don't say the pain is "somewhere between my belly and my back." At the word back, everyone runs out, grabs EKG. Happened twice.)
After CAT, MRI, ... found gallbladder - infected, impacted, stones, ....
I was already on blood thinners for 2 stents, so they couldn't operate. Kept me in, trying to reduce the infection, because the alternative was to install a drain tube - which they then wouldn't be able to remove for the same reason.
Eventually had to give me drain. Finally had it removed several months later. (Not sure why they could do that but not the gallbladder, but I didn't complain.)

Finally had the gallbladder removed after a year, outpatient. DR said it was the smallest he had ever seen, indicated the size of his thumbnail.

By the time I woke up from the surgery, my wife had gone to the ER, and been ambulanced to Macon (from Warner Robins). (I had to have a friend from work take me home.)
By the end of the week, my wife had been ambulanced to Northside Hospital in ATL.
Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. With a tumor in the brain - which is highly unusual - it caused dizziness which a nurse noticed and sent her to ER. NS has a special blood/marrow wing, and a Georgia Cancer Center throughout the state.
2 months in ATL. 6 months chemo (with the only med which affects both body and brain, had to give her max dose, let it sit a few hours, then give something else to remove it). Full week hospital stay every month. Luckily they could do that in Macon.

She's been in remission for around 5 years.
I'm still ticking. Trying to keep blood pressure reasonable - reason for the heart attack.
