I had about $2700 in that gun and I thought I could get that out of it.
I was seeing nice Saigas with bolt on conversions, no front end parts but they were sticking cleaning rods in them for the appearance and they were SELLING for $2800 ish plus tax plus shipping plus ffl transfer at the time I had it built.
Hell I had $1400 in it before the conversion although I feel like I overpaid a little initially.

I don't believe you can score an SGL-21 for $2K unless you got lucky. At least last time I checked.
The spines are different
Some are rounded, some are more squared off, some go all the way up, etc. The welds are different on some of them as well.
I have a bit over $2k in mine but it has 24-1.5mm half moon, real circle K stamped Soviet furniture
