Smart move buying a Japanese truck made in America vs an American truck made in Mexico or canada

Both of my American trucks were made in Kentucky.
That brings other questions to mind.

Shop around for a new Tacoma, they are only a few thousand dollars more than a used one right now. I bought my new truck 4 months ago, and the dealer also gave me $1900.00 off MSRP. Just my 2 cents worth of advice.

My Kentucky built 2014 f150 started falling apart at 85k miles.
Trans and rear end. 5k after warranty!
Fixes myself vs $8k+ at dealership and sold that heap

So far so good.
Hers has the ecoboost.

Seems like the v8's have too much torque for the drivetrain
I can assure you I didn't abuse it and never pulled more than a 60" mower on a trailer and maybe only half a dozen times.

99% highway miles and I got paid by the hour vs milage so I never got in a rush

99% highway miles and I got paid by the hour vs milage so I never got in a rush

I always wondered why the 5.0 seemed to have more problems, when it was thought to be a better engine than the 3.5. People were afraid of turbos. But diesels have had turbos a long time.

Pretty sure those bi turbo 6s make more torque. And I know with an ECU flash or piggy back unit, they make way more.

These were all different streets! One is down in the cul de sac, one is on the main road to get here, and i have no damn idea where Surry Lane is, but i got one for there too.
