Luckily with it being set at 66 it hardly even runs. It MIGHT kick on for ~2 minutes every 1-2 hours.
We have a teenage daughter. Learned to let water heater to heat up after her and not to set temp in the house too low.

I have two boys. That's why I got a 50 gal water heater when I replaced it 7 years ago.
We had a talk at dinner about generator and saving electricity. I have become a switch/lights nazi. Nobody ever turns off the lights.

I grew up during the 70's. Dad was a civil engineer from Duke. We'd lose a digit if we didn't turn off a light. We'd get smacked if we opened the fridge door too long.
I am thinking I need a 5 gal paint stirring stick for a reminder.

I installed Motion light switches in the hallways and basement area (can disable motion as well to make them a regular light on all the time).
They work great and only stay on a few minutes at a time unless more movement.
