Man, I was telling my wife when that bed was up i bet that thing handled like shiiiiiiit! Should have been an obvious sign something was wrong. I would think the wind sheer would have been loud too? Apparently when he hit, the cab kept going and crossed the median into the other lanes. I bet that was one hell of a jolt...at 1am!

State/county owned, ie self insured.
Unless it was build with bond money, and state is still paying for the bond, then it had a private insurance.
