Almost went to bed before posting up the flappy-mag release installed:






It was a royal pain in the ass to install, very slim needle nose pliers, where I could only have the slightest portion of the tip grip the 2-sides that capped the spring, which only got it about a 1/3 of the way in, then the thinest of thin flat-head screwdrivers got it seated finally...

Pic of the needle nose lining it up, I had to back off a good 3/4 from there just so it would start to seat....


Took about 10 tries, ended up having to get a magnifying loop strapped to the left side of my head with a head-lamp strapped on and positioned just right to watch the contact points, but I finally got that little bish in there!

What is your opinion on the Charger scat pack?

I don’t know, don’t really follow these but I think it’s a done-up RT with the SRT8 engine/trans, right? Otherwise the entry V6 models and mid level V8 are dull and crappy and drop in value like crazy.
Rare higher end models are always a better investment.

Yes do it! But you're probably going to get 13 mpg... if you're lucky. But if you buy a car like that, you should probably think about keeping it forever. I'll give @oio credit for the recommendation of keeping a car like that for the long term. I wish I still had my 73 Road Runner. So if/when I do buy a new car, weather it be a Challenger or the Alpha Romeo, I don't plan on selling it... ever. Even the FIAT we have is probably going to be a collector's item in the future, since they were only sold for 5 years over here, and in small numbers.

One thing I always point out about the newer “mopar” stuff. Is weight. The chargers weight in around 4200lbs. And 485hp isn’t that much when you add another 400lbs of family and car seats, etc etc. also the newer fiat transmissions are complete trash. The cars feel like boats, handle terribly, brake terribly... like @oio stated, unless one goes with the hellcat or demon, the pros don’t outweigh the cons.

A little surgery about to go down on the HK, apparently the shmucks at H&K thought it was a good idea to leave the flappy-mag release off of the SP5K. The push-button is so damn awkward, and regardless of import restrictions or anything else they were trying to get around, it is just downright shameful to make the end user do such a mod that it should have come with in the beginning. Shame on you HK, I pee on your cherrios!!
