At that time, age 24. I had to run 2 in 16:28 (ish) just to pass.
At my current age, it’s by next Tuesday with pulse
300 PT score or I was out of the unit
Best I ever did was 280. And that was with the above score. I averaged 250-260 until about age 30, then 200 was about normal.
But I sat on my ass while performing my mos.
Ranger? Delta? Or just an O3 that was a pt nazi?
Mostly that was only the case when I went to a light infantry regiment. You would get a chance at remedial PT for a month or so to raise your score then if you couldn’t achieve it they’d move your ass to battalion S shops.
the whole unit was PT Nazi. But yeah all my officers were tabbed and most of us enlisted held skill identifiers and tabs. It was way different from a combined arms BN or a cavalry unit
We also did PT in the morning, then after lunch PT, got smoked 5 times a day, hit the gym after COB, and did steroids so you know not the end of the world

I have an ODT lower
We did the same thing when I was in the 82nd Abn... I HATED running, but I was pretty good at everything else. One time I did 200 repetitions of a 3 count Flutter kicks. I was never asked to lead company PT again.
