Not sure if I’m reading your question right but you can’t....So, because I haven't looked it up yet, how expensive is it to turn an SP5K into FA (legally) .... ?
Do I even want to know?
AFAIK, a time machine to take you back to 1985 is the only way.So, because I haven't looked it up yet, how expensive is it to turn an SP5K into FA (legally) .... ?

Now that I think about it, you might be able to get a Type 07 FFL & a Class 2 SOT from the ATF & then be a manufacturer with NFA status but I have no clue what that entails or costs.AFAIK, a time machine to take you back to 1985 is the only way.
Nah, not trying to go SOT, but I thought I read somewhere back when the SP5Ks came out that you could pay big money for a sear pack, but I was probably drunk and not remembering correctly. Now that I think about it, you might be able to get a Type 07 FFL & a Class 2 SOT from the ATF & then be a manufacturer with NFA status but I have no clue what that entails or costs.
AFAIK, it would have to have been FA manufactured & owned pre-1986 NFA gun control act or an FFL 07/Class 2 SOT holder to do it now. But I'm certainly no expert in these matters. I'm just an old guy wishing I could get to sleep.Nah, not trying to go SOT, but I thought I read somewhere back when the SP5Ks came out that you could pay big money for a sear pack, but I was probably drunk and not remembering correctly.
Yup, I don't recall all of the specifics, but I'm pretty certain it was obscenely expensive.AFAIK, it would have to have been FA manufactured & owned pre-1986 NFA gun control act or an FFL 07/Class 2 SOT holder to do it now.
