Night shoot tomorrow in doodles with some dudes from a local gun store around here. Got a 1000 yard range tucked about an hour away. Everyone in NODs. My PP so hard
a Gal of water is just over 8 lbs... just so you have a idea of how much water you are humping.
You ever check your gear under IR light with the NODs?
I was amazed to see clothes, packs, tarps, etc. glow like a light in IR light. To many optical brighteners in modern soap.
Yep but most the stuff I wear when I’m doing that stuff is what A. Came free from Uncle Sugar or B. Was purchased from higher end companies that produce low IR signature stuff.
crye, Haley strategic, OPsCore, Tactical Tailor etc. my issued pants/tops and issued soft shells. Low Ir signature chest rig and Plate carrier.
I still run IR reflective tabs and flags, both on my tops and helmet for sure as well as IR chem lights/IR strobe when I’m shooting with other guys.
If not everyone is in NODs I run something visible as well like a vis-chem light or run my strobe on low-visible on the back of my helmet so it doesn’t wash out my goggles but also lowers my risk of someone shooting me in the back lol.

I just went outside and double checked my IR pointer zero and my IR flood. Got those bitches dialed in tight AF. Probably a better IR zero than I even had overseas lolol
Anyone still awake willing to offer input on this?
