No need to apologize my friend. It is a horrible situation to have to watch someone you love suffer & be unable to do anything. I hope this helps with her situation. Sleep is the best friend a person in pain can have. That was a cheesy attempt looking for sympathy. I am sorry. We are blessed that we could afford to look at the recliners in the first place.
Found a nice one.
I don't know if it would help, but we have a 2md single bed with an electric motor that allows both the head &/or foot to be raised, The mattress is very soft so that it bends easily. If she needs a firm mattress, this may not help. Though I suppose you could put a firmer mattress on it and see if it still works. A couple of guys & a pickup could move it. Hell, I did it by myself before the stroke.
It is yours if you want it. And I'm willing to bet we could get a couple of guys here to transport it. Think about it & maybe talk to her doctor about what kind of bed she'll need after the surgery.
