Learning about cutting, facing, and crowning barrels all night and think I have a solid grasp on the whole concept and a place to source the tools.
Cut barrel with hacksaw real close to the FSB/GB combo check
Use 90 degree facing tool and .311 pilot by hand to square off the cut and bring it even closer to FSB/GB flushness
Use 11 degree crowning tool with .311 pilot and 600grit valve lapping compound to cut crown
not too daunting
biggest thing for me I gotta get that barrel chopped almost if not exactly flush with the GB threads so I can use the 4-piece bulgy flash can since the internal “cone” mates up to the bore. It won’t screw down fully unless I can get that chop perfect
