I was looking for a gen 1 around 2 years ago and they were $1,650 new. Now that they are out of production if you want the gen 1 features sucking up the +350 to get a BNIB is worth it IMO. The fixed irons that are gen 1 only are worth that too me personally because I am not super familiar with optics and am comfortable with irons.
YMMV but if you find a gen 1 ace in the caliber you want unfired for under $2k and don’t tell me about id be pissed.
I wouldn’t pay $2k for a gen 2 though
