Just got word that my best friends grandfather has passed away. He was like a grandfather to me. Stayed at their house every summer after high school semesters. Family friend for 15 years. Stayed at their place after army when I had nowhere else to go. We knew it was coming but not this fast. I’m at work, can’t leave. This sucks. Vietnam vet with the marines. 2 Purple Hearts.
I feel terrible cause for two months I said I would ride the next county over and see him and never did. Went to hospice Friday and just passed. kicking myself for not going.
