I love it. I used to have one. It was my Duty gun when I went through the police academy in 1982. Lost it in a fire in 1997. I think it’s better than the original.
On a seperate tangent, there's something to be said for those who were trained to use a revolver as a primary duty weapon. My grandfather (ex police captain after his deployment in WW2 until he retired from the force) taught me to shoot my first pistol (his service revolver) when I was 14; he made follow-ups look easy, still to this day I can't master a 2nd shot of 38Spl/.357 mag to save my life, lol

Most youngsters, have never shot a revolver. When I was a Police Firearms instructor I used to bring out a few revolvers for my officers to try. Got a kick out of watching them pick it up and looking at it like it’s something from the caveman era.

I did a "range day" as an employee incentive for the guys who worked at our location at the ATL airport many years ago; told them if they had perfect attendance, I'd take them down to Charlie Elliot, pay for passes, bring a bunch of my guns and supply the ammo.

Best monthly attendance incentive ever; ended up packing out a 15 pax van and we spent the day at Charlie Elliot.

It was surprising to see that the most popular gun out of scoped AR10's, AK's, AR-15's, 1911's and shotguns ended up being a SS Ruger GP100 in .357, they couldn't get enough.

I’ve always wanted a 3 or 4” GP100. My dad gave me my first handgun at 12. It was a S&W model 66. 6” stainless 357. I love that gun. Everyone who’s shot it does too.
