Best thing to get this dry leather handle to swell up a tad?
I'm thinking neatsfoot oil.

Any recommendations for using something more suitable or it's NF oil g2g?

Couldn’t tell ya. When we were on the west coast in 2016 fighting wildfires, that’s all we used on tools and boots and it worked

850* and ummmm…about that. When we got trapped last Sunday, it fucked my helmet cause if the heat. The structural integrity was compromised since the heat temp it was exposed to for too long. And since that was a personal helmet, I’m SOL on that.

Nope. It was a clearance they had on 2019 models, (that’s why it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper) so it wasn’t warrantied. Of course worse case happens a week later.
