I grew up in Newnan. There’s a lot of good folks here. Unfortunately a lot of Atlanta riff raff have come down here in recent years and spoiled a lot of the charm. Newnan was full of 100+ year old oak trees, it’s something we took for granted I guess because now that they are all gone it really has changed the landscape. My parents got quoted today by a tree guy on removal of all 12 or so huge oak trees that fell on their property. He quoted 26k.
That's fucking robbery. Standing huge oak trees go for a grand to drop and haul off (on a kinda average quote).
Mom recently had 4 huge pine trees taken down, hauled off, and stumps ground down for $800/tree. And those were right in between 2 houses.
