I think that everyone should do a review of their favourite pistol. if you have more than one do a few of these.
if people are on the fence about buying something that you have already, why not put it in a review?
Mine is a CZ 75 SP-01, DA/SA non Decocker
This is the bigger brother of what some have said is the best metal framed combat pistol made (i have not been in combat, i am just going to take their word) the CZ75 P-01. Boasting 18+1 capacity with internal slide rails for great accuracy.
At first i was scared of it. i had no idea what to make of the grip size (used to a glock 19). it seemed like it was tailor made for my paws. just the right amount width, front and rear serrations, and grippy panels.
The trigger right out of the box was to me, a bit squishy. i know that there are places that can make it better or whatever, but i am not one to spend that kind of dough on things that people either wont want or i cant get my money back for the investment. DA was heavy but broke cleanly, the reset is short. i must say that it felt short to me. did some double taps and controlled them quite well. after 500 rounds of break in using all sorts of ammo (with out a jam or stove pipe nothing) it now sits in the safe beckoning me to come out and play again. (time and money are stacked against me right now).
this is a heavy gun, we are taking close to 2lbs or more fully loaded. think 1911 only double stack. you will have some great forearms at the end of a training class. this is a full sized duty gun (or with some work a race gun or production class gun). very good accuracy (mine is not tuned from the custom shop or factory to shoot cloverleafs from 25 meters)
i mostly bought this because i was looking for something other than glock. felt cz75b and was hooked.
overall i would rate this as a range gun, comp pistol, night stand gun. edc might be tricky as holsters usually have to be custom made.
if you have the opportunity for one, i say get it! if you love to tinker, get it!
any questions?
