Depends on what they charge you with. I assume a felony is a given which means you can never own a firearm. Fines start at 10k. They can get you for tax evasion as well for not paying the tax stamp.

what if it's was dealer sample? (Does that mean any class 3 dealer?)

If it's transferable $10k and up. Class 2 or 3 can own dealer samples with a law letter. Difference is Class 2 can manf machine guns.
