I never shoot w/o eye & ear pro... In our CLS class, they showed us dozens, and dozens of pictures of service members with missing eyes. And then showed us pictures of guys who got blasted in the face from all sorts of stuff, and their eyes were fine. Also tons of picture of fucked up Eye Pro, that saved people their eyes.

What caused the OOBD?

Damn bro. Glad you're OK. I've only had one experience like that. 10/22 with a 17 mach II conversion. Blew the extractor off my rifle and burned my hand. Got rid of the conversion after that and put my rifle back factory. Well, I did upgrade to a titanium Volquartsen extractor. Lol

What caused the OOBD?

Bad ammo. I grabbed it thinking it was a box of factory ammo, but when we got to the range I realized it was reloads.

What I found after the fact was the brass wasn't sized correctly and some of the rounds would't allow the slide to fully close.

At first I thought it was case separation but after the fact I realized the brass was improperly sized causing the slide to not to fully close on some rounds.

It really concerned me because I was thinking they must be my dad's 45 reloads which I have a ton of, but upon further inspection I have no clue where they came from. I assume the came as part of a trade at some point.
