I know an old guy who built himself a big/little F16 or some kind of fighter jet with actual tiny turbines. It was a few years ago.
He claimed his friend clocked it with a radar gun at 230mph...I should have looked into it more.
But I can't afford that shit; he said he had about $30k in it.
It had about a 5' wingspan. Need to find out more

I've seen them up around 300mph, but that was a few years back. I'm sure they're doing better than that now.

Don't you think it was his mistake as well though? Sure he called "low pass" but does that mean everybody else has to get out of any airspace that could be considered a "low pass"? I'm not familiar with how this works but his plane seemed to move a lot faster than that guys little helicopter.

I'm pretty sure if you're the guy with the helicopter on the runway, you're supposed to stay the hell out of the way. Probably wasn't really supposed to be there at all.
