I'll rate it tragic. Epic would have been a collision with an RC Millennium Falcon.
Seriously though - I wonder how much that mistake cost.
The slow motion definitely makes it appear real.I dunno...the slow mo was pretty awesome. It crashed scale too....
Where does someone even get the engines for something like that? Here's a $10,000 day at the air field.
They've actually come down in price over the last few years as the supply & competition has increased.Where does someone even get the engines for something like that?
I've seen them up around 300mph, but that was a few years back. I'm sure they're doing better than that now.I know an old guy who built himself a big/little F16 or some kind of fighter jet with actual tiny turbines. It was a few years ago.
He claimed his friend clocked it with a radar gun at 230mph...I should have looked into it more.
But I can't afford that shit; he said he had about $30k in it.
It had about a 5' wingspan. Need to find out more
At some point you just gotta get in it and go for it.Not a crash, but someone spent some time on these:

Don't you think it was his mistake as well though? Sure he called "low pass" but does that mean everybody else has to get out of any airspace that could be considered a "low pass"? I'm not familiar with how this works but his plane seemed to move a lot faster than that guys little helicopter.I'd say it cost about $1,000, 200 hours of an old man's time and some newbie's RC club membership.
I'm pretty sure if you're the guy with the helicopter on the runway, you're supposed to stay the hell out of the way. Probably wasn't really supposed to be there at all.Don't you think it was his mistake as well though? Skateboard is the first thing that comes to my mind. Have you ever seen the guy that has them attached to a rigid wind suit?did not need to see this!!! now I'm thinking what I could strap that to!!!
