I'm the opposite. I want the smallest, thinnest 9mm that I can get (within reason). Size is a major concern for me because of where I have to carry.I had one for a little while. In the end I just prefer a full size gun. I very rarely need something smaller than a Glock 19/23 sized gun.
I'm curious as well. I'm going to pick up either a 26 or a 43 before next spring. I have pros and cons to both so I'm still up in the air.
I have been reading that the early ones had reliability issues but they have since cleared them up.
I had a 26 and didn't like it. If you can carry that, you can carry a 19 without noticing a difference.
Width matters more than length with carry and a few .10ths of an inch makes a huge difference in comfort.
I've had a few 26s. For me I can conceal them better than my 19. I get by with my 19 for now but my body shape and how I dress that slight reduction in grip length makes a huge difference in printing for me. I also find the 26 more comfortable for appendix carry then my 19.
Appendix would make more difference. To me they felt the exact same on my hip. Going to a single stack makes a high difference though.
I love my vanguard! wish I had one for the 43 lolI like the43 for how small it is, but I like the 26 because of mag capacity and compatibility with my 19. I also like I can still use my Vanguard 2 with the 26.

I'm more likely to carry my single stack for a quick trip to the store. My 19 is fine, but I have to dress for it, so it gets carried much more in cooler weather.
