I absolutely do. I think that if you are uncomfortable enough that you don't want to carry hot, you probably shouldn't be carrying at all. Racking the slide under stress is a recipe for disaster. Can it be done? Sure. But why give your attacker that extra time and hope you don't short stroke or whatever. Carry hot or carry not.

When I carry my 1911 it's in condition one: hammer back, safety on, one in the tube.

LCP has one in the chamber as well.

How do you carry?

After seeing several self-defense videos, all the experts said most attacks happen in 3-5 seconds so Condition One is the only way to go.

A weapon is not loaded or functional without one in the Tube..A split second is the definition between life and death..The only one's that I did not do, were some wheel guns years ago that had a fixed firing pin..
