Do you carry an extra magazine/speed clip for your EDC?

I carry every day all day.

But I don't carry a spare mag.

What say you SET?

I carry a spare mag most of the time.

I do this for 2 reasons:

1. mag related failure
2. If the situation dictates it, I like having a mag I can just unload to keep someones head down and hopefully buy me some time to get away/to cover/etc... without leaving me with an empty gun.

Seeing as I carry an XDs, I feel compelled to carry a spare. If my carry piece was 10+ rounds, I would not feel as compelled.

G19, no. With the xds, I normally carry an 8 or 9 rounder in my pocket with 7+1 in the pistol so I guess I'm comfortable with 16 rounds.

Well on a serious note then, I personally am a believer in Murphy's law. Anything that can go wrong, will, at the most inopportune time possible. So an extra mag is insurance for me. And it's not all that difficult to carry an extra, so why not?

Since I carry a Glock 43. I do carry a spare magazine.

I carry a 17 and a Shield all the time. If I go into town I carry an extra mag for my 17.

Glock 19 and a spare mag. I'm not gonna tell anybody else that they should carry a spare mag- I just like carrying one.

The Shield came with a 7 rnd and 8rnd mag. I bought a second 8rd mag and the IWB holster I use has a place for a spare mag. I leave the 7rnder in the car.

I don 't usually carry an extra mag on me. There is usually one or two in the truck.
