I submitted my form 1 efile trust documents but the rifle being SBRed wasn't listed in the trust itself...does it need to be prior to being submitted for as an SBR?

Do I need to resubmit?

It doesn't have to be listed on the schedule A for approval. Once you get the stamp, just make sure you have a current schedule A with it listed on there.

I think it can be both. Some say (Like Cherokee G&P) that you cannot have the item listed on your Schd A or on an assignment of property until it gets approved, but others have submitted doing the complete opposite and have gotten the approval too....

Ok good. Its getting close to the time that I should be getting it back and I'd hate to have it disapproved for something stupid

They will alert you if there is an issue. Also, you don't "loose your place in line" typically if you get if fixed correctly/quickly.

I've always added my items to the schedule A after I've submitted the form 1 / 4.

I haven't had issues yet, but I'm no lawyer.

I've always thought you added the item to the trust once it's approved and transferred. Adding it to the trust means the trust "owns" it. You can't own it until it's been or ready to be transferred.

But I'm no expert- or even a novice.

Well I would agree as that makes sense...but a friend that just submitted a form 1 asked me and put the seed of doubt in my mind....I just want my backpack AKS-74U....is that so much to ask?

It's not too much to ask at all. However in two months when you decide to sell it, the whole NFA thing is going to make it a pain in the ass.;)

It's not that way with efile, if there's a problem they kick it out and make you start over. If it is a paper file, then yes, they will send it back have you correct it and it will usually go thru immediately then.

I just had a disapproval because of an error on an efile. I refiled immediately and had the stamp 9 days later.
