DEMONETIZED.... WAIT WHAT?! | What Happens Now?? (VIDEO)

Ok so over the past couple days YouTube has decided to pull all ads from our videos. Pretty much all gun channels have lost all their revenue, which really sucks!! It really does take a lot of time, effort and money to keep a channel up and running. The cost of cameras, audio, tripods, computers, high speed internet and editing software is already a hefty cost and thats before you factor in the guns, ammo, gear and whatever else you provide on your channel. So needless to say, the YouTube/Adsense money was a HUGE help with all of this!

Well heres a video talking about the situation, how it will effect my channel and what I plan to do to keep the channel up and running.

I'd like to get rid of the Russian Bride ads while we're at it. Pretty soon all they will be able to show is ads for plain white copy paper and vanilla scented candles. Except the candles burn and are probably bad for the environment. And think of all the little children with burnt finger tips because they didn't know... so no candles I guess.

Channels that were demonetized run the gamut from very liberal news channels to firearms channels. It's channel content specific, not content of the ads.

I'm not well informed- I'll definitely admit that.

I thought the advertisers were upset that their products were being shown on a gun channel- but I have zero evidence to back that up.

Kinda, but it wasn't just guns. It seems like all I ever see are NRA ads.

Gotcha- like I said, I'm poorly informed at best. I only hear about the gun related things. Well, I only listen when I hear about gun related things.

From what I understand, YouTube enabled a new, very aggressive algorithm that clearly has some flaws. They are working on fixing it that will re enable ads on 90% of the videos that they got cut from.

In short, it's a bug, they are working on a fix.

I guess we sold reserve judgement for now. It could easily be growing pains or just a bad release. We get those at work sometimes and have to back the updates or of all of our switches.

Ahh, I gotcha. I don't really know how that works. I've just recently started using Full30.
