I added another military surplus firearm to my collection. About 2 months ago I went into a local gun shop over lunch and they had this CZ-52 in the used gun case. I put it in lay-a-way and picked it up just a couple weeks ago. This is my first CZ and my first semi-auto surplus pistol. It's chambered in the 7.62x25 Tokarev round which is a decent round and comparable to the 9mm. It was manufactured by Česká Zbrojovka in Strakonice in 1954, then refurbished in 1985 and again in 1991. The CZ-52 was replaced by the 9×18mm Makarov caliber vz. 82 in 1982. These pistols have 30 years of military service under their belt, not too shabby. It came with the leather holster, 2 magazines, the cleaning brush, 30 rounds of ammo and 3 clips. Without further ado, here are a couple pictures.

I've always been a fan of the CZ pistols.....very nice! A lot of history goes with that firearm. Just wondering if the ammo is readily available or somewhat hard to find? So many ammo types that I'm not familiar with.

I took this to the range on Fathers Day and shot 50 rounds through it. It shoots very smooth and is pretty accurate. Here is my target from about 10 yards

I don't think I ever posted it, but I found a 9mm barrel for this pistol. I had a gun smith fit it to the slide, but it works great and the ammo is a bit cheaper.
