I was bored this morning and found that CZ is now having threaded barrels on some models.

for those of you that have a p-07 or 9, can you please tell me why I should seriously consider one?

I have had the sp01 a 75 compact in the past, I just wonder how they stack up to their polymer offerings.

cuz it's between the m&p 9 or the CZ line of pistols.

I haven't owned the P-07 but I did own a 75 SP-01 Phantom and I found out that I do not like polymer framed CZ's at all. They have a cheap feel to them and the triggers on the polymer models suck. Back when I owned my Phantom there weren't any companies making aftermarket triggers or even spring kits for the triggers on polymer framed CZ's. This could have changed but I'd look into it before I bought one, or at least see if you can either rent one or find somebody who owns one and will let you shoot it first.

The new Omega triggers on the polymers is pretty good. Cajun Gun Works are the CZ gurus and can dress up the gun with performance parts. I'm tempted to get one again but I can shoot the DA trigger worth a shit and I can't reach the controls very well.

Does CGW offer trigger upgrades for polymer CZ's now? Back when I owned my Phantom they didn't. I might have liked it more if I could have had a trigger job on it. The trigger on that thing was gritty as hell, had a long ass reset and not consistent at all.

This. I haven't been impressed by the polymer CZs, or polymer Sigs for that matter either. To me CZs and Sigs should be metal.

I have a few. What do you want to know?
it was in the op.

how does the third generation of these pistols (namely omega's) compare to previous gens? I know that there are some to stay away from and some that were sought after. for better trigger and blah blah blah.
I just can't afford another sp01 and I am anti glock because 500 dollars for 2x4 Tupperware... bruh....

is the suppressor features worth it? a can will be in the budget for next year. so I want to start looking at 9mm hosts.

if it is not any better than the previous gens I will just get an m&p9 (because that was the Tupperware pistol I liked the best that I can get for 380 new around my parts, then get a threaded barrel and new sights..)

that's cuz you need to shoother the shit outta cz pistols. they get much better with use.

I guess I just expected better out of CZ. I'm a big fan of their metal guns but was very disappointed with the trigger and the overall feel of their polymer frame as well. It felt like a toy almost.

It's about the same as Gen2. The triggers are a bit mushy, but the SA is a nice light pull at about 3lbs. You can get a P07 Urban Gray under $500. That's a lot of money for a 17rd, suppressor host with excellent tall tritium sights. You can use the standard 75B mags on the p07, by the way.

But, if you don't like the factory trigger, especially the DA, which is going to be heavy, CGW makes tons of parts for the Omega triggers. And as previous poster said, they break in after 500rds and become much better. The most effective upgrades cost less than $60 altogether, where the race hammers, and short reset triggers are not necessary but do improve the SA and the reset.

They're a heck of a lot better pistols than M&P from my experience. And plenty of sight options out there or upgrade parts, and they are also reliable and very accurate.

You can also get the Steyr M9A1 Suppressor Ready model for $475, if you like more traditional striker pistols. A neat pistol as well.

I love the trigger on my P07. However, if this trigger existed on a striker fired handgun I would find it unacceptable. I do think it is one of the best hammer fired options available. My P2000 blowes it away though.

I love the hellfire out of the poly CZ's, have had a couple phantoms and they're the cat's pajamas.

My favorite 9mm host is a CZP07. The ergoes of the grips balance extremely well even with a can on them. Spectacular qulity and as others have mentioned, great factory triggers. I had a p09 and never had issues, but didn't have a TB so traded away a while ago.

I saw a rami the other day in a case. picked it up and the looked what they were asking for it, and had them put it back. that is what I get for going to rich city gun shops. going back to the boonies.
