I've seen the airsoft RC battleships but never this. I personally find this to be just about the coolest RC ship I've ever seen.
I had one as a kid, took it to the lake for 4th of July, got the bright idea to sick a bunch of sparklers on the deck and bow ..... needless to say it didn't make it back to the dock.Growing up, I always wanted a RC boat, lol....still do!
I built an RC airboat from scratch when I got tired of getting RC airplanes stuck in trees.Growing up, I always wanted a RC boat, lol....still do!
Now you can buy all the toys you want. For some reason my parents would never buy me another
I had a buddy that had one. Even driving it fairly reasonably, something would break almost every time he drove it.My buddy has one of these. It is essentially undriveable.
I've been in the RC hobby since I started making a paycheck. Been wasting money on that since long before I got into guns and hot rods. I took a break from it for a while and missed the introduction of brushless motors and lithium batteries. When I saw that electric (which used to be a joke) was now faster than nitro, I got rid of all my old nitro stuff and got back into it with electric. Now I have a bunch of expensive toys that are constantly in some state of repair because the power output exceeds the durability of available parts. You can easily overpower the little bastards to the point that they basically self destruct. It's a money pit to say the least, but seeing a little 4 wheel drive monster truck busting 70mph is pretty cool.I had a buddy that had one. did he register it?My son is on the school robotics team, and he got a small 4 prop drone for Christmas. If it's something he and I can do together I can see getting more into RC type stuff.
I have to fight the urge to buy a drone that we can hang my son's go pro under and fly POV. Some of the stuff those things can do is awesome. They have a "go home" button that if anything goes wrong or the battery gets low it will automatically return to where it started and land itself. My son is on the school robotics team, and he got a small 4 prop drone for Christmas.
