I'm pretty sure that Marion Road Gun Club is an affiliated club- I'm 90% sure that is accurate. $75 a year and you get to shoot at a great club!

I really need to join. I shoot almost as much down there as I do at the indoor range

Wonder what this will do to the value of WWII Era 1911's already in the hands of collectors?

I hope it will bring the values back to earth for a while.

Genuine US military 1911s have been insanely overpriced for years.

If the guy who wrote the artical is right, the base price is going to be around $700 bucks, and the rare pistols will be sold at auction... Looks like I wont be getting one.

I was thinking about half that so I'm in the same boat. I can't buy a pistol to look at and for $700 I could get a nice brand new one I would wear out at the range.

I would shell out 400 no prob. But at 700 not so much

I have a friend frothing at the mouth to spend up to $1000 on one, so I doubt the $700 mark will be too much for a lot of people.

Wow... I hope they're in good shape for that price. I have a feeling there will be a bunch of rattle traps in the 100k they are getting.

I'm really not interested in one either considering I could go get a pretty nice new Colt for near that price point.

A military 1911 would be cool. It was worth300 to 400 to me and still is. Not more.

I am not really a collector. I can see why they are excited. A stock military 1911 ain't a good shooter. They are generally comprised of parts which somewhat share the same street address. Loose as Lindsay Lohan
