I've seen in some of the Big Box Sports stores Monarch Ammo on sale relatively cheap. I just wanted to add a comment regarding this ammo from working at a range. Yes it is cheap ammo, but, as far as I know it is the only ammo that is "painted" with a shellac like coating. As you continue to shoot and your firearm gets hot, this shellac coating starts to turn to a glue like substance that will gum up your firearm, causing it to be cleaned real good, and we actually see cycling issues, jams and such again, after the firearm get's hot. Just wanted to share this info out there. Not trying to "knock" Monarch, but they would be better suited if they stopped with the coating.
Merry Christmas to everyone
