Cerakote on Ruger Super Blackhawk by Dobbs Defense

Back in 1995, my brother bought a 7.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk off our brother-in-law. Rough finish-wise, but in excellent condition mechanically. He was on deployment in Okinawa at the time, and I had just gotten out of the Corps. I picked the gun up for him and surprised him with some custom work and goodies for a Christmas present. Sent it to Mag-Na-Port for porting and action work, then I bought and installed a mount and a Tasco RDS.

He's hunted with it regularly, especially deer in Ohio.

He dropped it off recently to Frank at Dobbs Defense to be gussied up. Armor black and burnt bronze. Here she is.

I saw the thread title and thought to myself "oh no, that's gonna look like shit." Then I opened the page and it actually looks pretty good. Needs some different grips IMO but I like the burnt bronze/black combo.

Yep! That was a cool optic back in 1995, but a bit dated nowadays. If it were mine, I'd have updated it, but my brother likes it, so as long as it works it stays.
