I handled the first Glock I've ever really liked yesterday...and it had an RMR on it. I've always liked the idea of an RMR and they seem to be rugged enough to actually use now. For a truck, HD, or gun for my wife I think something with an RMR on it would be better under a stressful situation.

Anybody use one or have thoughts?

I'd like to get one as well and put it on my G17 I just dont have the money at this time, or I would have a Trijicon RMR... Don't they run around $500-600 bucks? Dose anyone else make a RMR for a Glock that dosent require batteries?

Yes the RMRs are around $550 or so....but there are cheaper and viable alternatives....

If I could find a supa-cheap M&P9 or M&P45 I just might try it out

I'm looking at a 41MOS as my new bedside gun. I think the red dot and a tac lite would make for a cool mall ninja set up.

I briefly looked at the 41MOS....aside from the cut for an RMR any reason why you picked that over a 21?

I think it's a fad. Everyone I've ever known that runs the set up has replaced the optic at least once. Think about the battering it gets riding on that slide. For an optic that is really just designed to sit on a rail, if you put it on a pistol slide, it's going to fail more quickly and with more regularity.

I'd say just train with irons.

I'm guessing if you ever have to pull your edc you're going to be pointing and not really aiming anyway. Unless you are ahead of the curve and have the time to aim and you're not shaking like a leaf.

Maybe just mount a laser instead? Seems like you could focus more on the target than the front sight post.

But those sights are pretty cool...

A RMR is a game changer, in something like a 3 gun shoot... And if you did have to use EDC, and it had a RMR on it, I think you would be a lot more confident w/your self defence gun w/ a RMR... Just my .02 cents worth.
