So all of a sudden the a/c stopped blowing. Nothing happens when I start the car, adj. the settings, or what have you. I'll drive for 5-10 minutes then it'll start blowing. What's going on?

Starts blowing period. Once it starts it works fine. 2010 Ford Fusion. This happened once several months ago. The dealer said it was a battery issue. New battery no problems until yesterday. Now it's happened 3 times since.

Sounds like a bad blower relay or poor connection to the motor.

That's weird. I would agree with Mac...electrical connection issue.

Could be worse...you could have just gotten off the phone with your mechanic and he could have said things like this.

"Your system is honestly in the worst shape of any system I have ever seen."

"Pieces of metal throughout the system"

"Oil as black as the phone in my hand."

"The whole thing has to go"

"2400 dollars"

No....it's a project I'm working on. I bought it knowing that the A/C didn't work. The mechanic said a lot of words that I didn't understand but the basic gist of it was that something had broken at some point a long time ago and had littered metal fragments throughout the entire system and the wrong coolant had been used at some point which had ruined some other part. He also said something about oil baths and emulsifying. All I know is that every single component of the system has to be gutted and a new one installed.
