450 bushmaster barrel? Whaaaa?Generic model 10, Appache barrel. I got a .450 as well, because dumb, and I like spinning on a random barrel.

I am going to be a hog's terror some day. Apache will chamber offbeat stuff on decent barrels for a decent price. The Lane is for a .44 lever, 45-70 lever, .450bm bolt, and .458 bolt. Like I said, dumb (but thorough).450 bushmaster barrel? Whaaaa?
I just wish there was a 45-70 that was easy to thread and fast enough twist.I am going to be a hog's terror some day. Apache will chamber offbeat stuff on decent barrels for a decent price. The Lane is for a .44 lever, 45-70 lever, .450bm bolt, and .458 bolt. Like I said, dumb (but thorough).
I don't think that's availableJust order the barrel pre-threaded?
How does that work? It doesn't count for bullet weight or barrel length.McGowen makes prefits (semi custom) barrels at a slighlty less decent price for Marlins. http://www.mcgowenbarrel.com/twist2/
I tried it out and it's about spot on, calling for an 18" twist to stabilize a 1.3" .458 bullet.@rOmiLaYu I don't know, I meant to post the barrel/chambering page (with sizes and twist rates).
Problem with the encore when shooting suppressed is that every round will have first round pop due to the time involved in manipulating a breech loading action. How about an encore frame. Then you can have a stack of threaded barrels at low cost to shoot the 8000 rounds everyone wants to stock. You can shoot dozens of calibers stocking projectiles in .45, .40, .355 aka 9mm, .308, .284 aka 7mm, .224.
You rapid firing some 45-70? Just wet the canProblem with the encore when shooting suppressed is that every round will have first round pop due to the time involved in manipulating a breech loading action.
Ewww.....dirty.You rapid firing some 45-70? Just wet the can
It's not the rate of fire so much as breaking the seal and allowing oxygen back into the can.I shot dove with a single shot 20 gauge for several years as a boy. You can shuck em in and out pretty good with a little practice. In fact I still have the shotgun, and even though I have not fired it in 5 years or more. I bet you $20 that I can shoot a box of shells in under 2 minutes. How many rounds of 30-06 are you shooing a minute?
I think your over estimating the return of fresh oxygen. It's not the rate of fire so much as breaking the seal and allowing oxygen back into the can.
It's super annoying to meter a gun that takes to much time between shotsYou guys should video a bolt vs a break rifle on a can, next you film metering. Would make a great video, you know, for science!
