Finishing I'm first ever AR build. What a great time educating myself. The plethora of BUIS is insane just like any AR build. I built a 300 blackout and have been pleased with its outcome. I'm running a cheapo red dot till I save up for the aimpoint. Input for BUIS would be great thanks

I hate the company with a passion, but Troy makes an incredible BUIS.
If my rifle has an A2 FSB (which most of mine do, I usually use Matech BUIS on the rear, but if I need a front and rear set I go Troy.

Honestly though for true "backup" iron sites, there is nothing wrong with Magpul.

I'll give people crap about them, but they are incredible value and do work well, especially as a backup to a primary optic.

i have a troy fixed rear sight for my wife's rifle and mine wears daniel defense fixed rear sight.

i did use magul flippers, but i prefer the fixed rear sights with the A2FSB i have

magpul PRO's are the cheaper alternative to the Troy Battle sights

I have both the magpul and try BUIS. Best bang for your buck are the magpul. But Troy is quality! I've got a set of yhm that are pretty good to.

If you're saving your money for an aim point, or doing a budget build, go with Magpul. As a backup sight, they are fine. Just make sure it's not the cheap Magpul PTS stuff. PTS is their air-soft line and they are cheaply made.

I like Matech, but the prices seem like they have increased a good bit. Magpul are fine. I would rather have a carry handle or fixed rear sight than a cheap buis/reddot combo.
