I've been in the process of building 3 ARs, I have the lowers pretty much completed, now I just have to decide on the uppers.

Since I already have 3 in 5.56 (along with a .22 conversion kit), my initial thought was to build:
1. 7.62X39
2. 300 BO
3. 9mm

But then I thought it would be nice to have a dedicated .22, then again, .45 would be nice as well.

And then I thought, well, I do have a can that will do 9mm, .45 and 300 BO

Now I'm very undecided

Personally i would go 9mm if ur gonna supress as ammo is redily available and cheap too.

I was undecided on building one or just getting an MP5 clone to SBR.

I own zero 300BO even though its quiet i still fear availabilty and price point. Yes im a pansy and dont venture out to far past the NATO round scale.

I would go with the original 3.

1. I love my x39. Very fun round to shoot and pretty cheap

2.300 bo cause why not. It is on my list to build

3. 9mm really who wouldn't want a AR 9. Once again on my build list and a fairly cheap round

Also if your wanting a dedicated .22 just build a number 4. See how easy it is for me to spend your money.

But the Octane 45 is not rated for 458 :(

Honestly, the only reason I was considering 300 BO was because I have a can that can do it, and the reason I thought about X39 was due to ammo cost.

I'm not too worried about suppressing 9mm in an AR if all that I've read about it is true, at the end of the day, it would still be a cool AR even without a can. While 300 BO can be suppressed pretty efficiently with subs, the cost of ammo compared to X39 is a huge difference. I've had a X39 upper before and I loved it, too bad I don't have a can (yet) to suppress it.

I'm not worried about hunting or long range, if I need a big bore, I'll grab the M1 garand :D

Building it myself. Stripped RRA upper, Anderson 8" barrel. Got a RRA lower and just picked up a 2 stage NM trigger for it.
Gotcha; I'm working with 3 stripped Anderson lowers and Anderson LPKs, 3 PSA stock kits; leaning towards PSA for the uppers, but might go SOTA on the X39 ..... if I can ever make my mind up ;)
